Highlighting style and attitude is the new trend for contemporary corporate and business headshots. A key challenge for companies today is how to articulate their unique brand identity through a digital image and inline with their brand guidelines. My job is to create that harmony with the correct lighting, direction and angles.
The outfit for your portrait session is usually related to the identity of your organization. So, it is up to you or your marketing team, really. Some companies are more formal, whilst others are on the casual trend road. I can suggest colours and variations accordingly to the brief and colour palette of the project. I usually ask my clients to bring at least three variations to the session, so we have a good range of options for our contact sheet.
We can produce your headshot photos anywhere – I haven’t tried under water yet, I have to say, but I’m always up for a challenge! George Clark was happy to shoot outdoors, and that relaxed guy on the sofa is Mark Joynson-Bickerstaffe, a cool inventor and designer, co-founder of the brand Mark & May – he was more than happy to shoot his Brand Portrait Project at home.
